FAQ

What are your grooming prices?

Prices vary, depending on the size, temperament, time taken and general condition of your dog’s coat. Base price is $55 the final price will be determined once I meet your pup.

What is Included in a groom?

Grooms are all inclusive. There are no added fees. A typical groom includes nails, sanitary areas, anal glands and ears, as well as the cut or brush out (deshedding).

Ears: Plucking of the ears if requested. Talk to your vet first and see if an ear plucking is suggested.

Anal glands: As needed, not all dogs require expression of the anal glands.

Nails: As needed

Sanitary areas: the belly, anal area and pits will be trimmed.

Do you dematt dogs?

I will do my best to keep the length of your dog’s hair, if requested. But some dogs are just too matted to brush out or dematt. We can discuss techniques and the types of tools that you will need to keep that beautiful long coat flowing. It’s work.

Do you do sedated grooms?

Some dogs can be very difficult to groom. If you have spoken with your vet and they have given you prescribed medication to help with your dog’s anxiety, I will groom your dog, if they have taken that medication as prescribed. Unfortunately, I don’t have the capability to do a fully sedated groom.

Will my dog be in a kennel all day?

This seems to be one of the biggest concerns from clients. I am fortunate to have a large, fully secured area for your dog to run around. They might be in a kennel for a short time to finish drying before their finishing groom. Generally, there will be 2 maybe 3 dogs here at a time so their time here at Doggie Style is limited.

Do my dog’s shots need to be updated?

I do not have a problem if your dogs’ shots are not updated but if you have any concerns about your dogs health, please check with your vet before making an appointment.

What are your hours?

Having my own shop, I have the luxury of working when I want. I understand that everyone’s lives are complicated, and I am willing to work around your schedule and getting your dog in here when it works best for you.

What separates you from other dog groomers?

I can give your pets the attention that they deserve. Your time is valuable and getting your dog to and from your dog groomer can be time consuming.  I do offer pickup and drop off for an additional fee. The last two years have been difficult on all of us and I want to be able to make my clients lives a little bit easier and if that is picking up your pup, I am glad to help.
